Recall

On my Myspace Blog I did a thing about how wonderful life really is atm and how I was getting paranoid about how long it was going to last for.

Well thats just stupid! How can I enjoy it and really make the most of this sunshine lollipop filled time if I spend most of time frowning and wondering just how to good to be true it really is!?

Beetle is Love!!

On friday I picked up my new car... a 2000 vw beetle sunshine!! And its only early days but I....

LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE!!! IT!!

Its silver and pretty and the dash lights are purple and it has all the electrics and is so wonderfully wonderful and the previous owner really looked after it as you'd never know it was an eight year old car esp. the inside. So wish me all the best in motoring since it's about time I got a fabulous car to match my fabulous life haha - but seriously i've done my time in old and older cars so yay for me and my new silver bug!!

I am also planning on pinking it out, got the steering wheel cover, trying to find car seat covers and am looking at getting pink licence plates with either Jens Bug or Jennibug!

You put the vroom-vroom into my heart

You send my soul sky high when the engine starts
Jennibug into my brain
Don’t you ever go bang-bang-bang or I will go in sane
But something's bugging you
Something ain't right
My best friend told me I should’ve put fuel in you last night
So now I’m sleepin' in my bed
I was dreaming, but I should have been driving you instead.....

Bring back SATC to stop this torture!!

Did anyone else tune into Cashmere Mafia?

Well this Wednesday maybe tape it if you missed it because I don't think I will be staying up to late to keep watching. There wasn't anything to "wrong" with the show, typically a girly kind of show but it really comes down to everyone releasing these kind of shows to fill the void that was created when SATC left. New TV Shows = don't try to do that!! I kinda worry what Lipstick Jungle is going to be like especially since Candice Bushnell also was the original author of SATC. This show along with its hype kinda reminds of me of Men in Trees but i think the lack of fabulous fashion and what not is what stopped me even watching all of the first ep of that show. Oh and on the topic of MIT and now MC and Lipstick Jungle when it comes....

STOP CALLING EVERY NEW TV SHOW THAT INVOLVES GIRLIES AND GIRL POWER IN THIS MODERN WORLD AND ALL THE UPS AND DOWNS OF RELATIONSHIPS AND THAT SHOWS THE BEST THING A GIRL HAVE IS HER GIRLFRIENDS - THE NEXT SATC ... OK!! CAUSE ITS NOT GONNA AND NEVER WILL BE!!!!

Anyway back to CM. The pilot summary: Meet the members of the Cashmere Mafia: Mia, Juliet, Caitlin and Zoe. Friends since business school, these successful career women live and work in Manhattan where they try to juggle their work life with rocky marriages, family crises, rival colleagues, and everything in between. Sounds good yeah?? Well…

Too much seemed to happen to fast, like it was nice starting it with the engagement that alone could've sucked in hundreds of viewers going aaw – I know I was but by the end of the show I couldn't help but feel almost cheated by Lucy Lui's character Mia. While she, like all the ladies are meant to be representing the independent, strong powerful woman of today – by the end of the show I really wasn't impressed by her. She is shown to be almost ruthless and undermining and I know it was a competition and he was her fiancĂ© but her actions and the way it was portrayed just didn't sit with me. I guess it just wasn't sugarcoated like other TV shows or something.

Bonnie Somerville played Caitlin and having had enough of Men and all their crap found herself a new possible love interest which was in fact a woman. So clichĂ© and really kind of appeared a quick fix solution for that character. It was so obvious what was going to happen and her character just seems like a whiney teenager full of angst and crap. Enough of these type of characters on TV – don't need another one. Frances O'Connor played Zoe. A mum trying to do it all whose main drama in the pilot was her nanny was poached and she had to find another. Once again we hear the term, 'can we really have it all' referring to a career, a family etc. At least this character was almost likeable and tolerable than her co-stars. Miranda Otto played Juliet, who given a bit more of a chance I may be able to like. I was excited to have Miranda back on the TV as I fell in love with her character from Starter Wife – Cricket. I might tune in once more just to see how the whole character development thing goes, although we were pretty much given a full frontal shot of them all since it was such a full on episode.

But anyways, even though I haven't been totally sucked in by the actual show and feel a little disappointed with it and wish SATC movie would just come out already – and now I kinda think about it a little more I prob will tune in again, if not just for the wardrobe *dies* =)
